Scoring Table
-
- vulnerable
- A status assigned to one or both partnerships in Duplicate Bridge
that results in increased bonus and penalty scores.
- non-vulnerable
- A status assigned to one or both partnerships in Duplicate Bridge
that results in no increased bonus and penalty scores.
- The concept of vulnerable and non-vulnerable comes from
Rubber Bridge scoring.
- In
Duplicate Bridge scoring, vulnerable and non-vulnerable status
is assigned (artificailly) based on the board number that you are
playing.
- Since your competitors play the same boards with the same
vulnerability status, the result is fair.
- With experience you will learning to alter your bidding and play
based on the vulnerablity status of each hand (or deal).
