Long Suit Game Try
after Minimum Major Raise
|
Hand Description:
- Sufficient points to invite to game
- 2nd suit - potential secondary fit
- If responder has support for the 2nd suit bid by
partner, the responder's hand evaluation can be
raised by 1 or 2 points. This is often sufficient
to justify bidding game.
- Long suit game trys are often "forgotten" by
inexperienced players. Discuss these bids with a new
partner.
- Long suit game trys are also called help suit game trys by
some players. However, some players use the term, help suit
game try, to mean something different. Clarify the meaning
with a new partner.
