Championship Round

Two teams from the Georgia Tech Bridge Club will compete in the 2019 ACBL Collegiate Bridgebowl, together with twelve additional teams from other US Colleges and Universities. In addition to the Teams Championship, this year's Bridgebowl includes also pairs events.

The College Bridgebowl matches will take place July 25–27. It is anticipated that some of them will be broadcast live on BBO VuGraph. Owners of BBO accounts will be able to follow the matches by logging into BBO. Those without BBO accounts can view the matches by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.

Sessions 1 and 2 of the Teams Championship will be held on Thursday, Jul. 25th, starting at 1pm and 7:30pm EDT, respectively. All fourtenn participating teams will play in these sessions. The top four ranked teams in this initial Swiss qualifying round will advance to the semifinals stage.

Session 3 will be the semifinals round and will take place on Friday, Jul. 26th, starting at 1pm EDT. In this session the four remaining teams will face each other in two head-to-head matches.

Session 4 will be the finals round and will start on Friday, Jul. 26th, at 7:30pm EDT. The winning teams from the previous session will play for first and second place, while the other two teams will play for third and fourth place.

In the pairs events, a two-session Stratified Pairs match will take place on Friday, Jul. 26th, starting at 1pm and 7:30pm EDT. An additional two-session Stratified Pairs Championship will be held on Saturday, Jul. 27th at 1pm and 7:30pm EDT. Details of all Bridgebowl events can be found here.

Some of the Collegiate Championship matches are expected to be broadcast live on Vugraph. The complete list of matches to be broadcast will be posted on the Vugraph Schedule.
